Summary

Lee Health is seeking an experienced Information Systems (IS) Project Manager to join our Information Systems team. This role is responsible for planning, organizing, and executing small to medium-sized technology projects or defined workstreams within larger, complex initiatives across the health system.

The IS Project Manager serves as a key liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with organizational standards. Projects may include system enhancements, web-based technologies, application upgrades, infrastructure updates, and technology implementations supporting new clinical or operational services.

This position plays an important role within the Information Systems Project Management Office (PMO), helping to support project governance, portfolio management, and project management best practices across the organization.

This position is remote within the state of Florida.


Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize, and manage technology projects and project workstreams across the organization.

  • Lead all phases of the project lifecycle including initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and project closure.

  • Coordinate project activities across cross-functional teams including Information Systems, clinical departments, and operational stakeholders.

  • Serve as a liaison between technical teams and business leaders, translating operational needs into technical project plans.

  • Manage project scope, timelines, deliverables, and resource coordination to ensure successful project outcomes.

  • Monitor project progress, risks, and issues while proactively developing mitigation strategies.

  • Facilitate project meetings, status reporting, and stakeholder communications.

  • Ensure projects adhere to IS standards, organizational policies, and project governance frameworks.

  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of IS PMO processes, including:

    • Project management tools and software

    • Project management policies and procedures

    • Project portfolio management

    • IT governance initiatives

  • Build strong collaborative relationships with IS leadership, project stakeholders, and system-wide teams.

  • Deliver exceptional customer service while supporting the successful delivery of technology initiatives.


Required Qualifications

Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience in project management.

  • 5 years of IT Project Management experience leading technology initiatives.

  • Experience managing projects involving enterprise applications, infrastructure, or system upgrades.

Education

  • Bachelors degree preferred in Information Systems, Business, Healthcare Administration, or related field.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent project management credential.

  • Experience working within healthcare information systems environments.

  • Familiarity with PMO governance models and portfolio management processes.

  • Experience managing projects involving EHR systems, enterprise applications, or infrastructure initiatives.
