Workforce Development Coordinator & Project Specialist

Fosters positive and professional interpersonal relationships with community agencies, educational partners, and internal staff, to engage their participation in programs that enhance our workforce plan. Under the supervision of the HR Business Partners is responsible for coordinating the development of new workforce strategies and project plans and is also responsible for tracking progress through project implementation. Creates, coordinates and presents workforce presentations throughout Lee County at both the K-12 and adult education levels. Serves on various workforce boards and organizations in SW Florida regarding Lee Health workforce development. Performs Employee Engagement Survey interventions as a partner with the respective department and senior leadership as appropriate and assists with the oversight of the Action Planning process. Attend and participate in Business Partner meetings with customers/leaders in the Business Partner’s absence or as assigned. This position also requires data analysis, preparation of confidential reports and letters, financial data analysis, customer relations and project coordination. The position in alignment with the Business Partners is heavily responsible for ensuring ACHA and DNV compliance. Annually, prior to hurricane season, creates staffing plans, organizational charts, and distributes forms system wide which are required during hurricane preparation by the Command Centers.


Education Requirements: High school or equivalent. Bachelor’s Degree required, Master’s Degree preferred.

Experience Requirements: 5 years’ project management required. 5 years Human Resource
experience required.

Other: Experience using Microsoft Office suite of programs, specifically: Outlook, Word, Excel,
and PowerPoint. Must have excellent customer service and time management skills. Also calls
for flexibility, excellent oral, written and interpersonal skills, project coordination experience,
and the ability to work well with all levels of internal management and staff, as well as outside
clients and vendors. Must have the ability to manage complex, sensitive, and confidential
