Job Summary

Summary:

The Heart Central Supervisor is responsible for supervising the daily operations of the Heart Central departments, including staffing, nursing communication, oversight of equipment, and volunteers as applicable. This position assists with or is responsible for interviewing, hiring, counseling and scheduling of staff. The Heart Central Supervisor is responsible for direct supervision of all personnel within assigned campuses and is the primary resource for staff. This position is also responsible for orientation, training, and competency assessment of staff. Works as part of the Heart Central leadership team in the development and implementation of policies and procedures. Identifies problems and opportunities for performance improvement, waste elimination, and cost containment. Works with other Heart Central leadership as a representative of the department. This position assures that the delivery of service is within Lee Health policies and procedures, and State and Federal laws and regulations. The Heart Central Supervisor is responsible for providing excellent service to patients, staff, and leadership throughout the system. The Heart Central Supervisor ensures that customer service needs and quality of service issues are addressed and resolved.

Graduate of an accredited school for their professional license as RN or Paramedic required.

Three years recent cardiac rhythm experience required. Monitor technician or other patient care experience required. One year prior experience in lead or supervisory position required.
