for Pediatric/Neonatal Transport

Functions as an expert in critical care areas (pediatric, neonatal and adult critical care) and is utilized as a resource for less experienced staff. Administers all therapeutic, diagnostic, and mechanical modalities under the purview of Respiratory Care Services, for which the Therapist has demonstrated appropriate proficiency, and has been documented as competent to perform these procedures. All of the criteria-based duties within this document will be performed according to established policies, procedures and guidelines within the department and the hospital. Responsibility for the delivery of Respiratory Care to all patients, to include all therapeutic treatments, oxygen therapy, arterial blood gas draws and analysis, ventilator management, and airway management and to include intubation with proper certification. May assess staff blood gas competencies if qualified as a Technical Consultant?.
- Florida State RT license
- Experience: 3 years critical care in PICU/NICU or 3 years in Pediatric Emergency Department
- At least: 2000 hours in a level 2 or Level 3 NICU
- BLS, ACLS...
- PALS, NRP, STABLE within training period after hire

|BLS (American Heart Association / Basic Life Support)||Required||and|
|ACLS (American Heart Association / Advanced Cardiac Life Support)||Required|
BLS, ACLS, ACCS, Intubation Certification, System and unit based orientation and competency completion. In pediatric/neonatal areas BLS, PALS, NRP, NPS, Intubation Certification, STABLE, is required. Specialty certifications such as ACLS, PALS, NRP must be appropriate to specific job function and population served?
