Recruiter Nursing

Coordinates recruitment activity for all Nursing positions. Responsible for sourcing, pre-screening, interviewing, scheduling, testing, and referring the best qualified candidates to the respective hiring departments. Develops innovative recruitment strategies to attract qualified nurses. Creates strong partnership with nursing units and participates in nursing leadership council meetings. Makes recommendations to hiring departments regarding job share, reduced schedules, flextime, school-to-work, internships and training programs. Conducts research to identify targeted markets and find the best-qualified candidates. Identified trends in recruitment efforts including wages, relocation, sign-ons, referral bonuses and other perks to be competitive in market place. Propose budgetary needs related to nurse recruitment. Consults with leadership on recruitment policies and employment laws.


Education: Bachelor’s degree required.

Experience: Minimum two years recruitment experience either in a healthcare organization or a recruiting/staffing agency; previous Nursing/Allied Healthcare recruitment experience preferred.

Candidate must have excellent interpersonal and written skills, positive attitude, be flexible, creative, and innovative and be able to promote and “sell” Lee Health to potential candidates. Some travel required. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret recruitment data, business periodicals, procedures, or governmental regulations. Must have ability to effectively negotiate, communicate and present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. Knowledge of federal and state employment laws. Experience and proficient use of Microsoft Office programs (i.e., Word, Excel PowerPoint, Internet).
