Psychometrist - Pediatric Hematology/Oncology

Description:

Provides psychological services to Pediatric Hematology/Oncology including administration and scoring of psychological test batteries evaluating cognitive, academic, neuropsychological, behavioral, and emotional status to assist Psychologist in treatment decisions.

Administers standardized testing appropriate to determine appropriate school placement and accommodations, learning disability, cognitive decline, and cognitive impairments based on disease or medical treatment.

Provides technical support to Psychologist on Pediatric Hem/Onc team for clinical research projects. Communicates with schools to obtain school records and standardized assessments from teachers. Assists office staff with telephone calls for appointments and follow-up appointments.

Performs under the supervision of a licensed Psychologist.

Requirements:

Job Requirements
Education: BS/BS in Psychology or related social services field; Masters in Psychology preferred

Experience: 2 years experience administering standardized testing

Training: National Association of Psychometrists certification preferred

Other: Understanding of developmental stages in childhood
