Description:

This position is responsible for managing a system-wide culture of compliance in alignment with the Joint Commission and CMS regulations within the assigned acute care facility. The position includes developing a partnership the Vice President of Patient Care Services by managing compliance with regulatory requirements in conjunction with hospital priorities, objectives and goals. This position must also independently develop and manage hospital-based solutions to improve quality and safety processes. The primary responsibilities inherent within this management role include Consultant with the medical staff, leaders and employees of the healthcare system on regulatory standards; Author of policies and procedures relating to quality and safety issues; Facilitator for FMEA, management of ongoing system for perpetual regulatory readiness focusing on tracer methodology, competency fairs and mock surveys; Publisher for regulatory standards system updates through newsletters, memos, the web page, resource books/literature; Educator on National Patient Safety Goals and system implementation of management strategies. This multifaceted position actively manages the development of innovative solutions where standards compliance and safety is a priority.

Requirements:

Education: Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing. BS or BA degree in nursing, or Allied Health preferred. Experience: Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience. Experience managing persons, programs or projects. Quality and regulatory standards experience preferred. Training: Intense departmental orientation provided. License: Currently licensed or eligible for RN licensure in the State of Florida Certification: Healthcare Quality Certification recommended Other: Communication and interpersonal skills, basic computer, analytical, grammar and spelling skills. Ability to effectively manage multi task responsibilities in conjunction with Senior Leadership.
