Summary:

Oncology Clinical Specialist
Lee Health is a not-for-profit health system located in Lee County, Southwest Florida comprising four adult acute care hospitals, a children's hospital and a broad range of ambulatory services. We are currently building an Oncology Center of Excellence and are seeking a motivated clinical leader to help shape this critical service to better serve our oncology patients.

  • Clinical leadership for adult oncology service line
    • Education of Pharmacy, Medical, and Nursing staff
    • Competency development
    • Oncology Stewardship Committee membership/chair
    • P&T Committee membership
    • Pharmacy Clinical Practice Council membership
    • Oncology Clinical Team member
    • Active drug policy development
    • Assistance with transitions of care - liaison for inpatient/outpatient oncology services
    • Clinical service extension/optimization planning
  • Staffing responsibilities
    • Cross coverage inpatient/outpatient
    • Inpatient rounds
    • General support for staff 
    • Precept students and residents


The pharmacist is responsible for the preparation, dispensing, and monitoring of medications used throughout the facility. The pharmacist is expected to sustain an environment for the safe, rational, effective, and efficient use of medications prescribed to patients of all age groups. Pharmacists are responsible for the direct supervision of technical support personnel. All job duties shall be performed in accordance with all applicable State and Federal laws, applicable regulatory agency standards, professional practice standards, and policies and procedures of the health system/pharmacy department.
