Lee Health, an innovative regional health system, is seeking a System Director for their Pediatric service line as part of Lee Physician Group (LPG). LPG is a multi-site, multi-specialty group practice comprised of more than 520 providers and over 1,400 FTES located throughout sunny southwest Florida and growing!

This is an outstanding leadership opportunity for an experienced, dynamic multi-site physician group executive to provide operational and strategic leadership to an established and growing division. LPG seeks an individual with senior-level practice operations experience to advance operational best practices across the employed group.

This position manages the patient experience at assigned practices within a division. Responsible for overall functioning of practices including leadership of ambulatory office managers, patient schedule management, provider and staff engagement, patient experience, financial performance and billing compliance. Develops and fosters collegial relationships with and among employed physicians and staff. Develops strategy and creates operational plans, budgets and tactics for practices in the assigned division. As part of the senior Lee Physician Group (LPG) leadership team, participates in developing strategies for successful operations and growth. Performs all duties in a manner which promotes teamwork and reflects the mission and values of Lee Memorial Health System.

Requirements:

Education: Bachelors in healthcare, business administration or related field required or commensurate education and experience. MHA/MBA preferred.

Experience: Minimum of ten years of progressive practice management experience within a health care system required. Certification as a Medical Practice Executive (CMPE) strongly desired. Knowledge of ambulatory care; background in clinic procedures including schedule management, registration, use of electronic medical record, patient flow, billing and referrals and authorizations. Computer proficiency including knowledge of Microsoft Office software and in-depth knowledge of electronic medical record and billing software applications.

Excellent written and oral communication skills necessary. Must have superb interpersonal skills and be able to handle difficult conversations effectively. Demonstrate ability to listen well and gain consensus. Experience in planning and execution. Knowledge of negotiations and change leadership. Must have excellent critical thinking and problem solving skills. Able to express opinions openly and honestly and provide feedback in a timely and productive manner. Ability to examine and re-engineer operations and procedures. Strong budget, financial and statistical analysis skills and ability to interpret information to staff and providers. Demonstrates flexibility to accommodate changes in workload assignments and react calmly and effectively in stressful situations. Ability to work independently and set priorities under minimal supervision. Ability to work within the defined values, mission and vision of the organization.

Key Relationships: Works closely with the LPG Chief Administrative Officer (CAO), Chief Medical Officer (CMO) and fellow directors to develop strategy and implement operational & clinical workflows.

Works closely with physician dyad partner (system medical director) to resolve issues within the division. Partners with practice providers and ambulatory office managers to optimize patient care. Aligns with acute care partners to integrate service line needs of employed providers. Collaborates with peers within the Lee Memorial Health System.
