Summary:
Designs and implements controls during hospital renovation and construction projects. Provides expertise in managing exposure to patients during dust/aerosol generating activities including control design, ventilation consideration, monitoring techniques as well as maintaining communication with contractors, clinical staff, facility management and infection control practitioners. Additional job functions includes participating in development of infection control risk assessments (ICRA), infection prevention, indoor air quality surveillance, ventilation system reviews, coordination with facility management staff and response to any concerns that may arise related to chemical and/or biological exposures to hospital staff, patients or the public.
