Lee Health's Oncology division is significantly expanding and seeking an experienced and compassionate Genetic Counselor.

Lee Health is a six hospital system, including a new 72 bed Oncology Unit, located on the tropical Fort Myers/Cape Coral, FL coastline. Our outpatient Regional Cancer Center was expanded a couple years ago and we are seeking property to expand AGAIN!

Job Description:
Genetic counselors are professionals who have specialized education in genetics and counseling to provide personalized help patients may need as they learn about their cancer diagnosis and make decisions about their cancer risk, surveillance and possible treatment options. Additionally, genetic counselors' advanced training in counseling helps provide the emotional support patients need as complex genetic information is translated into sometimes-difficult healthcare decisions.


Education Requirements: A Master's degree from a program accredited by the American Board of Genetic Counseling

Experience Requirements: A minimum of three years of directly related experience preferred.

State of Florida Licensure Requirements: Florida Licensure currently not required.

Certifications/Registration Requirements: Will Perform under the supervision of independent practitioner

Other: General computer skills and ability to effectively multi-task responsibilities
