Description:

The Digital Content Specialist will work closely with team members in the Marketing and Brand Management Department, as well as physicians and staff across the health system to develop new content (written, video, photography, graphics) that is informative, persuasive and gives visitors a reason to come back to the Lee Health branded websites. This role is responsible for researching, identifying, creating, delivering and maximizing the impact of content, with the ultimate goal of enhancing the patient experience and driving growth. He or she will help us develop and work within a long-term and day-to-day content strategy that ensures we’re creating the right content at the right time for the right channels—to get the right results.

Requirements:

Education Requirements: Minimum of an Associate’s degree from an accredited learning institution, in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Library, Information Science or related field required. Bachelor’s degree preferred

Experience Requirements:

• Minimum 3-5 years’ experience developing content for multiple channels
• Experience working with content of management systems (CMS) preferred, i.e.; WordPress or other
• Experience and familiarity with Google Analytics and other tracking system preferred

• Ability to provide a strong, diverse portfolio of recent projects, writing samples, editorial or strategy documents, journey mapping, etc. ; healthcare writing a plus
• Self-motivated, multitask-oriented, problem solver, and will takes initiative to recommend tactics and opportunities
• Highly organized with your personal, and with the work of others, to ensure projects come together on time and on message
• Works independently and performs well under pressure to meet project deadlines, goals and resolve problems
• A passion and strong understanding of the role of content in the patient/visitor experience journey
• Understanding of health care processes, accessibility or CX/UX best practices a plus
• Ability to continuously track content performance using analytic tools to make recommendations for optimizations
• Ability to embrace change and handle complex projects from end to end
• Ability to effectively communicate through written and verbal skills
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees, supervisors, departmental representatives, and the general public

• Knowledge of current web technologies; web editing tools a plus; HTML and CSS knowledge and understanding is preferred but not required
• Knowledge of writing for SEO/SEM and health literacy best practices
• Some knowledge of: basic design/layout skills using Adobe CC or Elements; photographic techniques and materials; amateur video editing software
