Position Information:
LPG Orthopedics is seeking an experienced Physician Assistant to support a Total Joint Surgeon. This is a growing group currently comprised of 4 surgeons and 2 advanced providers. Candidates for this position will be interested in joining a stable and employed orthopedic practice that focuses on high quality and excellent patient outcomes. This position will be responsible for covering outpatient clinic, inpatient rounding, and surgically assisting in the OR. Those applying for this position can expect a good work life balance with a mainly elective caseload and light call coverage. Electronic medical record used for both outpatient and inpatient is EPIC.
Requirements:
Graduate of an AMA accredited program
Certified by the National Commission of Physician Assistants
Have an active Florida license or ability to obtain in the state of Florida
Certified to perform Basic Life Support and Advance Cardiac Life Support
At least 3 years of experience in surgically assisting with orthopedic cases; total joint hip and knee replacement cases preferred

Gulf Coast Medical Center is a 624-bed acute care facility that is centrally located in Fort Myers, FL. Gulf Coast Medical Center houses the Neuroscience Institute, advanced cardiac catheterization procedures, orthopedic services, and general surgery. The hospital offers 24/7 access to emergency care. The Neuroscience division performs minimally invasive catheter procedures to treat stroke, as well as a dedicated neuroscience intensive care unit.
