The Clinical Learning Advanced Provider Student Coordinator position supports leadership and clinical excellence through evidence based practice, excellent patient care through education and development that aligns with Lee Health strategic priorities. Supports the clinical, social, and professional development of Advanced Provider students and graduates by assisting the student to integrate effectively into the ambulatory clinical environment. Actively participates in selecting Advanced Provider students for the academic program, based on identified criteria and talent assessment tools. Supports the clinical and social development of graduate Advanced Provider who have been selected for employment to the ambulatory setting. The Advanced Provider Student Coordinator is responsible for developing and implementing a preceptor program for the staff who are selected to precept Advanced Provider students. This position collaborates with Physicians, Advanced Providers, office managers, staff, and other disciplines to create a positive clinical experience and excellent learning environment for students and employees alike. Collaborates with Human Resources, Recruitment and members of the ambulatory offices to promote recruitment and hiring the Advanced Provider Students who graduate and apply to open positions in LPG Offices. The Advanced Provider Student Coordinator will be available for the Advanced Provider student and preceptor by frequent meetings and rounding for debriefing, facilitation of learning, and emotional/social support. This position will maintain assure that the documentation of the progress of all students is complete and meet departmental standards.
